Bader Martin Principal Chris Strand Earns the AICPA's Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential
Seattle, WA—April 20 , 2009—
Chris Strand, MST, CPA/PFS, has been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The PFS credential, established by the AICPA in 1987, recognizes CPAs with professional expertise and experience in financial planning. Requirements include passing a technical exam and completing over 1,000 hours of related business experience. CPAs with the PFS credential must be re-certified every three years.
“Given their formal education and technical training in the areas of accountancy, taxation and general business, CPAs are the most qualified, knowledgeable and objective financial planning professionals,” says Laurence Foster, chairman of the AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist Credential Committee. “Supplementing this background with the PFS credential demonstrates a CPA’s commitment to providing clients the highest level of financial planning services.”
Chris is a principal in the Bader Martin tax practice and leads the firm's high net worth practice.
