Bader Martin Adds New Principals and Expands Its Professional Staff

Seattle, WA—February 4, 2009—Seattle-based CPA firm Bader Martin, PS, has added new principals and expanded its professional staff. 

New Principal Bradley Berg, CPA
Brad Berg has joined Bader Martin as a principal in the firm’s accounting and assurance practice. He is also a member of the family and closely held business practice group.

Formerly an audit partner with the national firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Coopers & Lybrand), Brad is one of a select number of practicing CPAs that also have extensive experience in private industry. His background includes senior finance positions with a number of venture-backed private and public companies in the technology, real estate, beverage, and professional service sectors. As a result of this experience, Brad provides Bader Martin’s clients with a very practical insight into their business operations and brings a unique understanding of their financial and business needs. 

A graduate of University of Northern Iowa, Mr. Berg also completed the Corporate Financial Management program at Harvard University’s Business School and the Negotiation for Senior Executives program at Harvard Law School.

Mr. Berg’s practice focus includes audits and financial and business consulting for closely held and family-owned companies, with an emphasis on the software and technology, professional service, real estate, beverage, and transportation sectors. He has extensive experience in business planning, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private and public debt and equity transactions. 

New Principal Mary Dickinson, CPA
Mary Dickinson has been promoted to principal in Bader Martin’s tax practice and its accounting and assurance practice. She is also a member of the firm’s employee benefits practice group.

A graduate of the University of Washington, Ms. Dickinson has been with Bader Martin for 21 years. Her work includes an emphasis on accounting, tax, and compilation/review services for professional service firms and family and closely held businesses. She is an expert in planning and accounting for complex transactions, scenario modeling, data management, and the development of spreadsheet tools for financial analysis and enhanced productivity.
Ms. Dickinson also provides audit, consulting and compliance services for employee benefit plans—including plan selection, monitoring and compliance, and optimization to serve business objectives. 

New Principal Susan Queary, MAcc, CPA
Susan Queary has been promoted to principal in the firm’s tax practice. She is also a member of the high net worth practice group.

A graduate of Carleton College and the University of Oklahoma, Ms. Queary has been with Bader Martin for over four years. Her practice emphasizes estate planning for high net worth individuals, families, and business owners. She is also an expert in philanthropic giving strategies and trust taxation. Susan has broad experience in tax compliance and planning for affluent families and their family businesses and private foundations.

New Professional Staff
Rollie Garner, Macc, CPA, has joined Bader Martin as a manager in the firm’s tax practice. Other new members of the tax practice include seniors Adam Duale and Cindy Webster, CPA, and staff member Lana Thompson. 

The firm has hired Kyle Stemmer and Jessica Hubly as staff members in the accounting and assurance practice, as well as new accounting technicians Sheri Mayer and Wendy Townson.
